You have canvas bags, and you have canvas bags. They’re supposed to be better for the environment (which is nothing but a good thing, of course), but they’re supposed to be a bit of fun, too! So, that’s where we come in. Or at least: where we try to come in. Chapter Friday’s Emma teamed up with her creative partner in crime, illustrator Cathelijne Biskop, and together they made some canvas magic happen.
The good news is, you can do this as well. Easy peasy! So. Put some inspiring music on, and let’s get crafty!
What you’ll need:
> Canvas bags
> Textile paint
> Brushes
> Paper and pencils
Where you’ll find inspiration:
> Pinterest
> Instagram
(Tip: just type ‘pattern’ and you’ll get a great many!)
What you’ll do:
> Collect inspiration, nice quotes, handwritten words and illustrations you like
> Practice your drawing skills a few times on a blank paper
> First draw your design with a pencil
> Then trace it with paint
> Let it dry!
