Festival fashion at Best Kept Secret

The time festivals were for army boots and old, worn out clothes is over: festival fashion is in full swing. Crochet tops, seventies florals and crop tops are bringing back memories of Woodstock. So when photographer Emma got the chance to photograph fashionable people at Best Kept Secret Festival, she didn’t have to think twice.

Here are the coolest couples, prettiest girls and toughest boys she found. And, of course, we interrogated these cool kids about their summer plans:

What is your favourite summer song?
Splendid with NaNaNa!

Louisiana van Onna, 20 years old
What gives you the summer jitters?
This summer I will host my very own midsummer night party. I’ve invited all my friends for a sleep over in my garden with lots of fun lights, delicious drinks and last but definitely not least Gin Tonic icecream.

What are your plans for the summer?
Grab our camper, put two matrasses in the back and tour through Europe.
So cute: after asking them about their plans, they immediately started brainstorming about different places they wanted to visit.

What do you like about this festival?
It’s has a cosy feel, good music and great friends (also known as Fries and Rosalie).

What adventures are you planning this summer?
Leaving the city: my great escape is Vlieland. I love the shore.

Dorien and Yves, 23 and 26 years old
What are your plans for the summer?
Swinging together! And visiting our favourite hangouts near the water: bar Left and bar Paniek in Antwerp.

Bram, 26 years old
What is your plan for the summer?
Visit family in Israel. My main goal is to soak in the soaring sun and being very, very hot.

Emma, 20 years old
What is your favourite summer memory?
Last year’s summer holiday for sure. Sixteen days with my two besties traveling trough Portugal. Practiced my surf skills, did yoga by sunset and drank a lot of cocktails at the by fairy lights decorated streets of Lisbon.
