Yellow cabs, flickering lights, five different languages and brown stoned buildings… There’s no place as photogenic as the Big Apple. A magical place to visit, no matter how long, you never come back from New York the same way you went. So I couldn’t imagine a better backdrop to shoot that special Sunday evening.
I started following photographer Esther on Instagram months ago and we met just minutes before these shots were taken. That’s how you recognize a true talent: Esther managed to capture me exactly how I felt that moment. Excited, proud and curious to find out how this night would unravel… and we all know how that ended… Even though I’m back in Amsterdam now, my head is still in a New York bubble and enjoying every minute of it!
