Right now it’s 4.00 in the morning New York time and I’m wide awake and feeling butterflies in my stomach. Because… CHAPTER FRIDAY WON THE BLOGLOVIN’ AWARD FOR NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR! (Yes, I just wrote that in capitals. SO EXCITED! I just stuck my head out of my hotelroom to scream in to the night for a little bit. Now eating celebratory snacks and dancing to Beyoncé in my pajamas).

In a few hours, you’ll find a big photo diary covering the event on here. For now I just want to say thank you to my amazing readers for supporting CHAPTER FRIDAY in every step of the way, for voting, and for giving me the chance to inspire you on a daily base. I love each and every single one of you, you are the reason I get to do this. Thanks Bloglovin’ and congratulations to all the other winners and nominees. It makes me incredibly proud happy to know that my new website is supported and loved by my loyal followers all over the world and by the Bloglovin’ community - a platform that I’ve personally been using since the beginning.

These are the exact type of moments that I work my butt off for, and winning a big international prize in New York shows me that making the move to CHAPTER FRIDAY was one in the right direction. What an incredible, beautiful reward after six years of blogging. Below you can see a little iPhone video of the moment Bloglovin’ presented the Newcomer of the Year Award and my ‘acceptance speech’ - kind of like you were there with me. (I got a little weak in the knees walking up there to be honest. What an adrenaline rush!)

After five years of blogging about my looks (which I still think can inspire other girls and perhaps give them a little more confidence or knowledge of what’s out there - and if not just brighten up their day) I had grown up and so had my readers.
