Thoughts that come to mind when turning 25…

For some, turning 25 isn’t exactly a walk in the park. There’s mixed feelings, ranging from ‘Is this all I’ve achieved at 25?’ to ‘Oooh my god, this is so close to thirty already!’ With three CHAPTER FRIDAY girls at (or over) the mere age of 25, we know all about it ;) Here are a few random thoughts that probably come to the mind of almost everyone when turning 25…

‘Twenty-five just seems só much older than twenty-four.’

‘What am I doing with my life?’

‘I can no longer say I’m in my early twenties…’

‘So he’s telling me he’s 21. Is it age appropriate to kiss?’

‘I’m almost thirty! Ok. Let’s not talk about the t-word.’

‘From now on, things will really get serious. No really. Serious.’

‘It’s only eleven at night and I’m getting tired? I must be getting old…’

‘I can’t go out anymore. My hangovers are horrible nightmares coming to life.’

‘Ten years ago, I was fifteen. So much has passed.’

At the club: ‘Everyone in here is younger than me.’

What are your thoughts on turning 25? Or do you remember your thoughts when turning 25?

I’m turning 25 in November and these are all the things going around my head! It’s all about the mid-20s now :)

I just turned 25… Things are getting “serious” ;)

Haha, they really are now, aren’t they? ;)

Turning 25 was uneventful for me, but turning 26 on the other hand, was a bit of a shocker. Somehow moving past that quarter century of life hit me a little bit harder and I had all of the above mentioned thoughts. Especially “What am I doing with my life?” and it really sucks to notice that everyone who’s kind of ‘making it’ in life seems to be younger than you but you’ve got to remember that there are a lot of people who have done wonderful things waaaay later in life. It’s like you’re older and wiser but still have enough margin to do something stupid :)

That’s a great way to look at it!

I am turning 25 in four weeks, we are going to have a big party, cause in my eyes turning 25 is like becoming an adult..
so i do have the same thoughts like in this post and start to think about the perspectives in joblife, about my pension and all that crazy adult-staff… but between those scarry thougts, i feel like a child.. and that is how i want to stay!

It’s always a good idea to have a party ;)

I’m turning 27 later this year, and I feel like turning 25 is pretty uneventful, but my life surrounding that age was not ideal. Something about the years after college + not great economy + fact that a graduate degree is almost a requirement now to be ultra competitive in the job market = a tumultuous few years of trying to figure out your path after undergrad.

I’m turning 24 in January and I spent my whole 22nd year panicking that I’m nowhere near having even a smidge of plan on what to do with my life. Everyone I knew from ages 27-70 told me that’s ok. No one really KNOWS what to do at any age. I figured I’d just stop thinking my life will end and all fun will stop at 30 and just enjoy the ride. Year 23 was so much nicer because of it. I think the rest of the years will be, too.

Congratulations on all your accomplishments so far. Don’t worry-you’ll just get more awesome.

Eeek I’m turning 25 this year, and not quite sure how I feel about it! I feel like I have ages about 10 years in just the last year! What am I doing with my life? Thats a question I ask myself every single day and haven’t figured out the answer yet…

I turned 20 this year, I’ll have to see which of these I’ll end up saying !

Haha, I can relate to so many of these thoughts, I turned 25 in march… It’s a little scary sometimes but also reminds me to just fully enjoy life.

Hey, I’m about to turn 26 soon, just leaving the comfy mid-twenties zone and entering the scary closer-to-thirty part of my life.

This post has inspired me to think about what being 25 has meant to me and what I think being 26 will bring!

    Thanks,

Thoughts like ones above appeared in my minds after turning 30 few months ago, so dont worry girls you still have a lot of time to get ready for them, being 25 was the best time of my life, enjoy it!

    Ha! Thanks!

Turning 25 wasn’t really a big deal for me.. but a couple of months ago I turned twenty-ten (yes, still in my 20’s :P ) and now I’m starting to relate to some of those quotes! lolol it’s all about how you feel, though! ;)

Turning 25 didn’t seem to big a deal at the time, I distinctly remember thinking time had flown by super quickly but it wasn’t too much of a big deal. However I turn 30 next year and goodness me I wish I was 25 again, I still feel it thank goodness. Enjoy every moment! xx

I can really relate to this post, I’m 26 now and certainly things are not like in your early 20s. The hangovers are terrible for sure, every one is younger than you every where, but although you feel like the same you know much more about you and life in general. Still i love when people give me less then 25, and if they don’t in my spirit i’m 25 foreveeerrr!! (it’s the perfect age to stop counting! ahah)

Haha, we couldn’t agree more! Just stop counting ;)
