Things to keep in mind if you want to become successful

We all hope to become successful one day. For some it’s within a year, for others it’s within a few years. Whatever your ambition is, becoming successful doesn’t happen by accident. You’ll need to be purposeful and proactive in reaching your goals. As you know, Rome wasn’t exactly built in one day either ;) It’s not always easy, but with these tips you’ll be ready for success when it’s right around the corner.

Do what you love
The key to success is to do what you love. It won’t even feel like work. Instead, it will feel like it is what you are meant to do in life. If you don’t love your work, it’s never going to happen.

Believe in yourself
Act. Learn. Build. Repeat. This is what defeats uncertainty. Try to make your idea a reality. Things probably won’t go as planned and you will find yourself facing new challenges every day. But as long as you believe in yourself, it can still happen. Don’t let the hard moments get to you.

Be ready for it
If you want to become successful, you must be ready for it. Success is all about exploiting opportunities. When the right opportunity comes along, be prepared. Open yourself up to opportunities and you’ll be sure to knock it out of the ball park.

Never settle for less
You probably won’t become successful from settling for less. If you want to run your own company, become the boss of a certain department or start a blogging business, stick to that. Don’t accept anything that is less than what you want, just because you think it’s too hard or too much work. You’re worth it! (insert hair flip)

Think ahead
There are always going to be bumps in the road and obstacles along the way. It’s important to plan ahead and take a proactive approach in dealing with barriers. Every decision you make, will influence your future career. Dare to dive in. It’s the ‘crazy people’ who reach what they want in life while others keep watching .

love them all :) I think they’re all so true.

Ironically i’ve just realised that this saturday will be my 1000th blog post on my UK style blog, meaning i’ve managed to blog for 1000 days consecutively. I am feeling pretty proud of that, and all the above points for success are definitely things i’ve tried to ensure i’m doing over the last 2 3/4 years

Haha *flips hair*, great tips. The hard part sometimes is finding what you love. It might sound strange, but when you’ve found that, I totally agree that you should stop settling for less!

So true! For me having fun at what you do is the key to being successful. I worked at a place where I wasn’t happy at all and made the decision to quit my job and start somewhere I didn’t study for. Although it was a difficult decision it’s definitely been the right one.

    High five, Maud!

sooo so true :) great article!
