An Fanatic’s Guide to Organizing Your Inbox
emailorganizing

I think I can blindly assume everybody has at least seen the image below. And I just hope and pray you’ve seen it on someone else’s phone, because really: an inbox with several thousand unread emails is just wrong. For everybody. (Please, do tag your friend who’s in the several-thousand-emails situation - and wants to get out.)

But! New day, new opportunities. Also for inboxes that need a little extra tender loving care (or CPR). It’s never too late (that’s actually a lie, but we don’t want you to get discouraged here.) What you need to do is a) stay calm, b) wash your face, c) drink a glass of water, d) read these tips, and e) FOCUS.

You’ll thank us later.

Do you ever browse through your emails, at all?
Okay, first things first: you have to check (all) your messages and decide which ones you may throw away, which need an answer and which just need to be saved.

Done? Now, you don’t want to do that again, do you? Here are a few tips for staying out of trouble.

Using your inbox as a to-do list?
Well, you might want to stop doing that. Download this app instead (it’s heaven), or this marvelous program.

Ever heard of canned responses?
Honey, where were you? If you’ve ever find yourself scrolling through Sent Items, looking for that one mail where you’d like to copy a previous response to someone, then setting up canned responses will feel like you have supernatural powers all of a sudden - and you’ll save plenty time by not having to write the same thing again, and again, and again.

Do you already use filters to automating your email?
Please, do. You can set up filters for, well, anything, and control your inbox waaay better. Ever tried setting up a filter for junk mail, for example? It’s done in no time, and you’ll feel blessed every single day. Here’s how it works.

We’d love to hear some of your tips, too!
