She wears clothes from Celine and Alaïa, she sprays Gypsy Water in her neck in the morning, she reads books by Walt Whitman and Susan Sonntag and visits the theater regularly, her nails always look clean and polished, and she has hair that follows her movement like watercolour spreads on paper: everybody has a friend or acquaintance like that, that you secretly admire for her amazing taste. Where she drinks her coffee? At Filter, of course.

Filter is a laidback coffee bar that holds a lot of hard working, mostly creative people behind laptops that are being served by amazingly cheerful waiters. It is like being in the living room of this incredibly cool friend of yours; everything looks casually thrown together, but it’s done very tastefully by someone that either spends too much time scrolling through Pinterest interior boards or has the innate style of somebody who is just very good at putting stuff together.

To add to the calming atmosphere of the place they have good taste in background music, a very healthy and equally delicious menu, and very, very good coffee. Oh, and the art on the wall is a. very cool and b. for sale!

So if you’re planning a lunch date with that oozingly cool friend of yours, you’ll know where to take her.
