I’ve had a soft spot for pastel colours for as long as I can remember, so the only logical next step seemed to be to add some pastel in my home. This DIY is a super simple way to do just that: it’s also perfectly doable for everybody with shaky painting hands (we plead guilty).
What you’ll need:
* tape
* a ruler
* sandpaper
* a pencil
* a brush
* a roller tray
* a paint roller
* paint
Then fist step is measuring all the legs of your stool, to where you want the paint to go.
Then you tape all the legs at the same distance.
Then you start sanding the surface where you are going to paint.
Now it’s time to start painting!
And now… we wait until the paint is dry.
There you go: you have a new friend for some tiny plants, a candle and other pretty trinkets you want to showcase. Easy does it!
I’m loving dip dye at the moment, I really like this mint green too xx

Absolutely! You could even do the same with wooden dining room chairs.

I have loved this trend for so long now. I’m currently looking at buying some stools for my kitchen that have white legs and a wooden top, but maybe I should just be DIY-ing them myself? It actually looks pretty easy.
I also adore the idea of using them not as a seat, but as a display for candles and such.

So do we! Or as a display for different plants! That’s how most DIY’s are born; you’re looking for something that’s hard to find. I’d say pick up a wooden stool at a thrift shop (or even Ikea) and do it yourself.
PS. using metallic paint, like rose gold, could be really cool too!
This is such a cute DIY, love it!
