After visiting almost twenty of the best work spots in Amsterdam, we decided it was time to leave our hometown in search of some new inspiration. We hopped onto a train, headed south and got out at Rotterdam central station. After strolling along the shopping streets, we settled down for a good cup of coffee to get some work done. This is where we went!
Name: Hopper (location Rotterdam North)
1. What’s the interior and atmosphere like?
Hopper is still freshly painted – it opened its doors only a few weeks ago. It’s the newest edition to the Zwaanshals, one of the more upcoming neighbourhoods in Rotterdam. When entering, the wooden paneled bar catches your eye, together with the sweet snacks on top of the counter (freshly baked brownie anyone?). The interior is warm and welcoming, oozes calmness and it’s uncommonly spacious.
2. How is the coffee?
Definitely an A+ latte. Hopper has won prizes with their outstanding coffee, not without reason.
3. Could you actually work here?
If you can’t get your stuff done here, it’s not going to happen anywhere! Hopper offers a long working table with plenty of space. Next to a pile magazines and fresh flowers, there are enough wall sockets available to power your gear up.
4. Where do you find Hopper?
We visited Hopper in the North of Rotterdam (Zwaanshals 472) but there’s another – more central – location at Schiedamsevest 146, Rotterdam.
