If even my dress has the color of champagne, it’s bound to become an amazing party season. And to think it was all a coincidence! This weekend I stepped in to ZARA, determined to quickly return something without falling in love with something else.
Clearly, that didn’t happen. Going in to return something and coming out with something else; it’s my biggest ZARA trap.
I honestly think they should invent a shortcut to the cash registers; a route during which you won’t be able to spot any of the New Arrivals. But, so far, that ZARA safe zone hasn’t been implemented and that means I left the building with a new deep blue paper bag in hand.
This slip dress - with a perfect fit (loose but body hugging at the booty), lower back and a cool metallic glow that complements my bleached hair - is one of my best party buys ever and I’m not even exaggerating. I’m even contemplating getting a back-up one, for my own wardrobe safety.
The key to confident and easy party dressing is finding items that are chic in an understated way - rather than loud or cliché - and bring out the best in you. My previous item in that ‘perfect-party-pieces’ category was a strapless pantsuit that I wore to the Bloglovin’ Awards; a show-stopper that works for all dressy occasions. Epic New Years’ Eve parties: I’m ready for ya.

Just to say, as it disturbs me everytime I read it: ‘chique’ in French means ‘wad of tobacco’, so ‘chic’ might be more appropriate for what you mean
