I couldn’t think of a better place to watch my last LA sunset than the beach I visited on my first day here: Venice. Yup, it was quite the full circle moment. As you kind of picked up from the Daily LA diaries (one more to come later today!), ‘living’ here for a month has given me a lot. That does include sleep deprivation though; as I tried to make the most of it I was all over town and usually slept only between 4-9 in the morning. Exhausted much?
Mere days before my departure, a sweet and unexpected e-mail popped up in my screen. It was Katie Edwards, fellow tiny blonde and LA lover, asking if I wanted to hang out for a bit and shoot. Ehhmm, yes! Katie had just moved to Los Angeles that week - she’s got the virus too - and we drove around, chatted about our love for the city (and horror of finding a place) and shot some looks in between. This girl was so fast and fun to work with, definitely hook up with her if you’re in LA and in need of some cool and natural shots.
As I am typing away my last minutes here (I’m now at the airport), I have all kinds of mixed feelings. I am a total peoples-person so I can’t wait to hang out and cuddle my family and girlfriends, but for some reason I felt very at home in here. Everything on this trip worked out the way it should, and each piece fit together without me having to try. I am so grateful for what the city has given me and for the people that I’ve come to know and adore in such a short time. Los Angeles, I’ve fallen head over heels for you, and I hope we meet again soon.
