As probably is the case in any creative industry, you constantly run into the same people. I’ve been blogging for five years now – celebrating my Big Birthday Month this february! – and it’s been a pleasure seeing the industry grow up. And seeing the people in it finding new ways to communicate whatever it is they want to say about fashion and personal style. A dynamic duo that I’ve always admired for the way they’ve put personal style on the online map is Daniel and Caroline from Stockholm Streetstyle. They’re still some of my favorite street style snappers – equally friendly and hilarious as talented – and it’s always a nice surprise seeing myself pop up on their website. (Or actually it’s always one of you guys telling me I’m on there. Thanks for keeping an eye out!)
This is an outfit I wore to attend the Chloé show in Paris this September, an absolute highlight of my Fashion Week years. Because I was running around to shows, meetings and a few appointments, I didn’t get the chance to shoot this look until it surprisingly showed up here. It’s the kind of all black look I feel comfortable in when I’m working during Fashion Week; mixing different textures to add some depth and relying on a Sergeant Pepper style jacket to pull it all together.
