After showing you my new and very first blog office, I’m taking you through my work space essentials because just like 99.3% of the female population I simply love making and reading lists. What can I say, I’m a list-holic! Also, there’s a fun little give away I paired up with Philips for at the beginning. Yay!
To block out noise and fashion gossip you otherwise couldn’t resist to get engaged in, headphones are a must at work. In my new blog office, everybody wears them to zone out. As of this week I’m testing the Philips CitiScape Downtown – positively so far – with sound-isolating cushions in buttery soft leather that block out noise. Comfort and high quality music combined: score!
Actually the best part to me is the built in microphone to easily switch from music to phone calls in the office or on the road. Ideal for a multi-tasker like me, as I’m always riding my bike while listening to my favorite tunes – anything by Frank Ocean at the moment – or making (hands free!) phone calls.
Since Philips was kind enough to send me three of these headphones, I figured I’d keep one to try out and give two of them away to you because, well, I love youuuuu haha. Just leave a comment below saying you want to enter and if you prefer the blue or green denim version. Cute and comfortable design for everyone!
On to my other office essentials…
Well, how else was I going to type this post for you, right? My laptop is my precious; it’s what holds all of my e-mails, documents, photos and inspiration folders to browse for blog ideas.
To a) make to do lists and b) make to do lists of your to do lists.
These golden ones have been used to scribble down some of the best blog ideas. Always keep a pen and paper close in case you feel creative.
Cleary. With a credit card and Starbucks stamp card as most important assets.
6) Business cards
My workspace is right in the heart of Amsterdam, so you never know who you might meet while getting a daily dose of caffeine. I carry these with me wherever I go.
Somehow white objects help soothe my mind and a (scented) candle instantly makes a desk cozy. Lighting a scented candle helps me through late work evenings.
I’m a clean desk advocate, but you need a few personal details in your workspace. Polaroids with friends bring a smile to my face when I’m in a fight with the internet connection.
9) Chewing gum
The least you can do to prepare yourself for a meeting. Plus the chewing actually stimulates brain activity. Score!
After a few hours I need some back up in form of my new Ray Ban glasses. Wearing my glasses make a huge difference in how tired I feel after a long day of staring at my screen.
11) Washi tape
One of my biggest guilty pleasures – besides making those lists – is splashing four euros on a roll of tape. Not just any tape though, this is Japanese paper tape that comes in all imaginable colors and prints – like this world map print.
12) Lip balm
Rather a life essential than an office essential, lip balm is my innocent but biggest addiction.
